Warts

Warts appear like uninvited guests. They show up suddenly on your hands, feet, face — and sometimes they disappear just as unexpectedly as they came. Dermatology knows the pathogen: human papillomaviruses that nest in the outermost layer of skin and cause growths. Treatments abound — freezing, cauterising, laser. Some warts disappear from this. Others come back. And then there are those puzzling cases where a wart that persisted for years vanishes overnight — without treatment, without any discernible reason.
