Step by step

Step-by-step guide

Every single step is here — with pictures of exactly what you see on your phone. Take your time. You cannot break anything.

Guide 1

How to sign in

All you need is your email address. No password, no credit card. It takes about three minutes.

1

Open the internet on your phone.

Tap the icon you normally use to go online — on an iPhone it is called Safari (a blue compass), on Android it is usually Chrome (a colourful circle).
2

Type the address at the very top: bodysignal.app

At the top of the screen there is a light bar. Tap it and the keyboard appears. Type: bodysignal.app — all lower case, no spaces, with a dot before “app”. Then tap “Go” or “Open” on the keyboard.

3

The cookie notice: tap “Accept all”.

On your first visit a box about cookies appears. That is normal. Tap the golden button “Accept all” — the box disappears and you see the page.

4

Tap the three lines at the top right.

At the very top right there are three short lines on top of each other. That is the menu. Tap it. (In the picture it is circled in red.)

5

Tap the black “Sign in” button at the top.

The menu opens. The black button is at the very top.

6

Type your email address into the field.

Use the email address you really use — the one where you read your mail. For example: mary.miller@gmail.com. All lower case, no spaces.

7

Tick the box at “Your collection” — if you like.

Below it you see the box “Your collection”. With the tick you allow BodySignal to store in your account which texts you unlock — so they are always in your collection. The tick is voluntary. If you set it here, you do not need to confirm anything with your first text.

8

Tap the golden “Send code” button.

9

Go to your email app and open the email from Felix Scheffel.

Leave the BodySignal page open and switch to your email — on a phone that is the app “Mail”, “Gmail” or “Outlook”, for example. The email arrives within one or two minutes. It shows a large code of six digits; the subject line contains it too.

10

Type the code into the field “Code from the email”.

Go back to BodySignal. A new field has appeared there. Type the six digits — as soon as the sixth digit is in, BodySignal signs you in. Done. Instead, you can also tap the black “Sign in” button in the email.

11

Your first text: tick the box and tap “Read for free”.

Choose a symptom and open it. The window “Unlock symptom text” appears — your first text is free. If you did not tick the box at “Your collection” earlier, the box is now shown in this window: tick it there. Then tap “Read for free”. The text opens straight away and is then in your collection.

⚠️ The email has not arrived?

First: wait two minutes. Sometimes it takes a little while.

Second: look in your “Spam” or “Promotions” folder. New senders often end up there. If you find it there: open it and tap “Not spam” — then the next one arrives properly.

Third: search your mailbox for Felix or BodySignal.

⚠️ The code does not work?

The code is valid for 10 minutes and only once. If it has expired, tap “Send a new code” below the field — that is no problem.

After several wrong attempts BodySignal blocks the code to protect you. Then tap the black “Sign in” button in the email or wait 15 minutes.

Guide 2

How to redeem your voucher

The nice thing: with the voucher you sign in at the same time. So you do not need to create an account first.

1

Have your voucher code ready.

The code is a word made of letters and numbers. You got it from Felix — by email, on a card or in a video. Write it down so you have it to hand.
2

Go to bodysignal.app and tap “Redeem a voucher”.

The button is on the home page in the dark blue area — the middle one of three buttons. So you do not need to type anything extra.

3

Enter the voucher code and, below it, your email address.

Upper or lower case does not matter — the field turns the code into capital letters by itself. (The picture shows an invented sample code — yours looks different.)

4

Tick the box at “Your collection” — if you like.

As when signing in: the tick is voluntary. If you set it here, your free texts go straight into your collection. The box below it for the newsletter is voluntary too.

5

Tap the golden “Send code” button.

6

Type in the code from the email.

Just like signing in: the email from Felix Scheffel contains a code of six digits. Type it into the field that now appears on the page. As soon as you are signed in, your voucher is redeemed.

7

Choose your free texts.

Then the page “Choose your free texts” opens. Search for your symptom at the top or tap one of the frequently searched topics. On the topic’s page, tap “Read for free”. If your voucher link was for a particular topic, BodySignal takes you straight to that topic.

⚠️ How do I know it worked?

The page “Choose your free texts” begins with the words “Your voucher has been redeemed”.

In addition, at the very top of every page, to the right of the word BodySignal, there is a small number such as 0/2. The first number shows how many tokens you have already used, the second how many you have in total. After redeeming, the second number is higher than before.

⚠️ “We don’t recognise this voucher code”?

Check two things: did you type a zero (0) instead of an O (or the other way round)? Have you perhaps already redeemed the code? Each code can be used only once per person.

Guide 3

How to buy tokens

You pay once; your texts stay in your collection as long as you agree to them being stored. There is no subscription — nothing is charged monthly.

1

Sign in first.

It is easiest if you are already signed in — then the tokens you buy go straight into your account. How to do that is explained in Guide 1.
2

Tap “Offering” in the menu at the top.

Or type the address directly: bodysignal.app/angebot

3

Choose a package.

There are three: 10 tokens for €9, 30 tokens for €19 and 90 tokens for €45. Each token opens a text that you can read permanently, as long as your consent to storing your collection applies. If you are unsure, take the small package — you can always buy more later.
4

Tap the golden “Buy” button below your package.

The packages, the Buy button of the first one circled in red
5

Now the payment page opens.

This page belongs to our payment service Stripe — that is where you enter your card details. They are secure and are never shown to us. You enter: your email address, the long number on your card, the expiry date (month/year, also on the card) and the security code — the three digits on the back of your card.
6

Tap “Pay”.

Afterwards you automatically come back to BodySignal and see a thank-you page. We email you the confirmation of your purchase in a moment.
7

You find your texts under “Collection”.

Tap the three lines at the top and then Collection. All the texts you have unlocked are there — at any time and on any device, as long as you agree to them being stored. At the top, a golden box shows how many tokens you have left.

⚠️ I do not have a credit card.

On the payment page you pay with a card. If you do not have a credit card, write to us via the contact form — we will find a way.

⚠️ I have paid but cannot see anything.

Sign out once and sign in again: three lines at the top → Collection. If the tokens are still missing, write to us — your purchase is stored with us and will not get lost.

Guide 4

How to sign in with a password

If you have set a password, you get into your account without going through your mailbox. That is the quickest way.

1

First you need a password.

This way does not work without a password — then use Guide 1 with the code by email. This is how you set a password: sign in once with the code, tap My Account in the menu and then Profile. There you find the box “Set a password”. Think of a password with at least 8 characters and type it twice.
The box Set a password under My Account, Profile, circled in red
2

To sign in: go to bodysignal.app and tap “Sign in”.

The way there is the same as in Guide 1: the three lines at the top right, then the black “Sign in” button at the top.
3

Tap “Sign in with password” at the bottom.

Below the golden “Send code” button there is the small link “Sign in with password”. Tap it.

4

Enter your email address and password and tap “Sign in”.

With the eye icon on the right of the password field you can show what you have typed — handy so you do not mistype. After tapping “Sign in” you are in straight away, without going through your mailbox.
The fields email address and password with the Sign in button, circled in red

⚠️ Signing in with a password does not work?

Three common reasons: first — you have not set a password yet. Then use the code by email. Second — a typo; tap the eye icon in the password field and check what is really there. Third — upper and lower case: “Sunny” and “sunny” are two different passwords.

⚠️ Forgot your password?

No problem, and you do not need to reset anything. Simply sign in with the code by email (Guide 1) — it always gets you into your account, even without a password. If you like, you can then set a new password under My Account → Profile.

⚠️ Why a password at all?

Because it is quicker. The code is convenient, but each time you have to switch to your email app and wait for the message. With a password you tap twice and you are in. Both ways remain available — you can switch at any time.

Still not working?

That is no reason to worry — and it is not your fault. Write to us about what happened, and we will help you personally.
