1. The texts were written by Felix Scheffel

Every symptom text, affirmation and page on bodysignal.app was written by Felix Scheffel. They grew over years out of his own practice, his own research and his own synthesis. Editorial responsibility rests with him, and he stands behind them with his name.

For preparing the material — structuring, search terms, proofreading passes — we use tools of the kind common in any publishing house today. The thinking, the interpretation and the responsibility remain human.

2. The voice is an artificial replica

The spoken versions of the symptom texts are generated with an artificial replica of Felix Scheffel’s voice. Felix Scheffel provided his own voice for this and consented to the replica. These are his texts, read by a model of his voice.

Every recording carries three markers:

• A spoken notice plays before every audio: “Welcome to BodySignal. This audio was generated artificially, using Felix Scheffel’s AI voice.”
• A visible notice sits permanently above the player, in every language.
• On the lock screen and in a car’s media display, the artist reads “Felix Scheffel · AI voice”.

There is no recording on bodysignal.app that passes itself off as Felix Scheffel’s natural voice.

3. The translations are produced by machine

The German original is the authoritative version. Every other language is produced by machine translation from that original, followed by checking passes and sample review. Each translated symptom text carries a notice at the start of the text.

Where a translation and the German original differ, the German original prevails. If a passage strikes you as odd, write to us — every report improves the collection.

4. Some images were created with AI

A number of pages carry images that were generated or modified with artificial intelligence — currently on the Offering, Coaching, Companionship, Depth Analysis, Technology and Retreats pages, as well as the illustrations of the printed books. They carry three markers:

• The official EU “AI” icon sits in the lower right corner of the image. The European Commission published it through the AI Office on 10 June 2026 for labelling AI-generated content.
• Below the image, a line of text states whether it was generated with AI or modified with AI.
• Inside the image file, the origin is recorded machine-readably in the IPTC field “Digital Source Type” — search engines and verification tools detect it automatically, even when the image is passed on.

Photographs of Felix Scheffel, of the retreats and of the devices are genuine recordings and carry no icon. Videos are currently being reviewed; as soon as AI material appears there, it will be stated here.

5. The legal framework

Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence requires the deployer of an AI system that generates image, audio or video content to disclose that the content has been artificially generated or manipulated. The information must be provided in a clear and distinguishable manner, at the latest at the time of the first interaction or exposure. This obligation has applied since 2 August 2026.

The markers on this page and in the app implement that obligation. Should the legal framework change, this page will be updated; the date above shows its current state.
