Your Body Is Speaking
Growth hormone governs how your body develops — in childhood it determines how you shoot up in height, how your bones form, how your organism unfolds. When this hormone falls out of balance — too little or too much — it shows most clearly in growth: the child stays smaller than expected, or grows faster than it should. Medically these are endocrinological disorders with clear biochemical markers. Psychosomatically, a different question arises: what is it here that does not want to grow — or what is trying to grow faster than its own inner ground allows?
Growth is never only a physical process — it is also an attitude. Those who cannot or will not grow physically are being shown by the body a deeper truth: that something in the relationship to one's own becoming is not right. That the fear of growing up — or the flight into growing up — is stronger than the natural unfolding.
