Your Body Is Speaking

Adhesions are what forms in silence after something has been injured. Tissue that should glide freely, release from itself, move independently, becomes stuck. Two structures that lie side by side become one. They grow together where they were supposed to remain separate. From the outside you often notice nothing — until a movement catches, a function sticks, a pain appears that you cannot explain.

Medically, adhesions arise mostly after surgery, inflammation, or injury. The tissue heals, but heals too firmly. It lays down fibres where there should be none. It connects organs that should be moving independently from one another within the abdominal cavity. It binds what should be free. The body means well — it wants to protect, repair, close. But it overdoes it. It holds on where it should let go.
