Infidelity / Affair

Infidelity is not a symptom in the classical sense, but a behaviour. Yet it functions like one: something breaks through that you could no longer express any other way. A need, a hunger, an emptiness you hadn't named — until your life named it for you. Loudly. Painfully. Often with consequences you didn't want.

Perhaps you are the one who strayed. Perhaps the one it happened to. Perhaps you are caught in the middle — between two people, a secret, a decision you keep postponing. In all three roles, the same underlying reality exists: a relationship in which something essential is no longer happening, no longer being said, no longer being sought, no longer being felt.
