But something did happen. A TIA — a transient ischemic attack — is a brief interruption of blood flow in the brain. Medically it is an emergency and a warning signal: it indicates that a stroke may be threatening. This physical reality takes absolute precedence. Whoever experiences a TIA calls 112. Immediately. Without any ifs or buts.
