Thrombosis

Also known as: blood clot · venous thrombosis · deep vein thrombosis · DVT · thrombus · vascular occlusion · clot in the vein · swollen and warm leg · thrombosis risk · blood plug
Your Body Is Speaking
Somewhere in your veins, the blood has thickened. It no longer flows — it stalls, coagulates, forms a plug that blocks the vessel. Most often in the deep leg or pelvic veins: the leg swells, grows warm, hurts, changes colour. What just a moment ago flowed as a matter of course has suddenly come to a standstill.
Medicine knows the risk factors — prolonged sitting, lack of movement, hormonal changes, genetic predisposition. All of these play a role. But the psychosomatic perspective asks an additional question: what in your life has come to a standstill? Where is nothing flowing anymore? Where have you become so stuck that your body makes the stagnation visible in your veins?
