Temporal Lobe (Problems)

The temporal lobe sits at the sides of your brain, directly behind your temples — right where you instinctively press your fingers when you have a headache. It handles what you hear, how you process language, how you form memories, and how you categorise experience. It is, in a sense, the archivist of your life — the authority that decides what gets taken in, what gets stored, and what gets assigned meaning.

When this region is disturbed — whether through dizziness, perceptual distortions, memory problems, language difficulties, or episodic states — medicine is quick to look for neurological causes. And yes, organic factors deserve attention. But there is a level that is rarely examined: Why does the uptake of information stall? Why does your system refuse to process life as it arrives?
