Something pulls at you. Again and again. Sometimes quietly, sometimes overwhelmingly. A glass, a drag, a line, a click, a purchase, a bite, a body, a confirmation — something that takes the inner pressure away for a moment. You know it isn't doing you any good. You may have promised yourself a hundred times. And yet you're back where you didn't want to be. Back in the ritual. Back in the haze. Back in the loop that pulls you out of yourself and leaves you even emptier than before.
