Also known as: repeated falling · tendency to fall · frequent falls · fall proneness · postural instability · loss of balance · fear of falling · falling for no reason
Your Body Is Speaking
You lose your footing. Not in the figurative sense — literally. The ground beneath you becomes uncertain, your legs buckle, your hand grasps at empty air, and then you are there. Down. On the floor. In front of others or alone, but always with the same feeling: this should not have happened.
Medicine looks for explanations — balance disorders, circulatory problems, inattention, tripping hazards. And of course these factors exist. But when falls multiply, when you keep going down even though the floor is level and your shoes fit and your eyes work — then it is worth looking deeper.
Falls are not slips but collapses — the physical image of an inner shock that you refuse to acknowledge.
