Stigmata

Blood or fluid emerges from your hands, your feet, your side — without injury, without external cause. Medicine generally classifies stigmata as a conversion phenomenon, a state in which the body translates psychological experience into physical signs that have no organic basis. Science remains largely at a loss — it can document the phenomenon, but rarely explain it.

And yet it happens. Your body writes something onto your skin that you cannot express in words. This is not coincidence and not theatre, but one of the most radical acts a human body is capable of: it transforms inner truth into visible signs. The question is not whether this is possible — you are experiencing it. The question is: What wants to become visible so urgently that your body invents its own language for it?
