Your Body Is Speaking
Your spine is your axis. It holds you upright, gives you direction, connects head and pelvis, above and below, thinking and instinct. A straight spine is not a rigid rod — it swings in gentle curves that absorb shocks and allow mobility. But in scoliosis, it veers sideways. It curves left or right, twists, forms an S or a C that is sometimes barely visible from the outside, but shifts everything from within.
Orthopedically, scoliosis is a lateral curvature and rotation of the spine. It can begin in childhood, grow more pronounced during growth, or only manifest in adulthood through one-sided strain and chronic patterns. Medically it is measured, observed, treated with physiotherapy or a brace, sometimes operated on. And all of that has its place.
