Tendon Insertion Inflammation (Enthesiopathy)

It burns precisely where tendon meets bone. At the point where soft tissue and hard structure converge — at the elbow, at the heel, at the shoulder, at the knee. Medically it is called enthesiopathy: inflammation at the transition zone, where tensile force meets resistance. The famous tennis elbow belongs here, as does the aching Achilles tendon or the inflamed tendon insertion at the hip.

The orthopedic explanation sounds plausible: overuse, repetitive strain, faulty movement patterns. And yes — that holds true on the mechanical level. But why there? Why precisely at the junction, at the point where two different types of tissue must meet and work together?
