Your Body Is Speaking
It is not fatigue. Everyone knows fatigue — the pull in the evening, the wish to sink into bed, the brief drift in the afternoon. Hypersomnia is something else. It is a gravitational pull. A force drawing you into sleep even if you've just gotten up. You sleep ten hours, twelve, fourteen — and wake as though you haven't slept at all. You sit in a conversation and notice your eyes falling shut. You steer a car, and suddenly there is that split second when your head tips forward. You function on the surface — but beneath it, something is pulling you away.
