Thyroid Nodule

At some point someone tells you: there is a nodule in your thyroid. It is usually discovered by chance — during an ultrasound for another reason, at a routine check-up, during palpation of the throat. Sometimes you feel something yourself: a faint sense of something foreign, a pressure, a pulling when you swallow. Often you notice nothing at all. And yet there is suddenly a density at a place in your body that was soft before.
