Your Body Is Speaking
Between your shoulder blades, at the level of your heart, lies a zone that is rarely consciously perceived — until it begins to hurt. The thoracic spine, medically known as the BWS, is the longest section of your vertebral column. Twelve vertebrae, where the ribs attach. A region that has a double task: it carries the ribcage with heart and lungs — and it holds your upper body upright between pelvis and head.
When your upper back burns, presses, stabs, or feels like an iron plate between the shoulder blades, it is rarely just a matter of posture. The thoracic spine is an emotional zone. Here, behind your heart, collects what is not allowed to flow through the chest. What you do not want to feel. What you must carry silently. What you set aside for others while appearing strong on the outside.
