Mouth Complaints

Your mouth is your most important threshold organ. Through it comes what nourishes you — food, air, words, kisses, impressions. Through it goes what lives within you — language, breath, laughter, cry, taste. The mouth is the place where inside and outside meet. No other body opening is as deeply involved in contact as this one.

When the mouth causes trouble — whether inflammation, dryness, pain, ulcers, fungal infection, burning, a bitter taste, constant tension, or the feeling of not being able to open it properly — your body is showing you something at the intersection where you normally take in and give out. The medical side will ask about bacteria, viruses, deficiencies, salivary glands, microflora, medication effects. These questions are valid.
