Your Body Is Speaking

A tiny insect lands on your skin. Its bite is barely perceptible — but the reaction afterwards is unmistakable: redness, swelling, an itch that won't leave you alone. Some people are barely bitten in summer. Others attract mosquitoes as though they carry an invisible sign that says: here I am, come and get me.

Medically, a mosquito bite is an immune reaction to the saliva of the insect. Histamine is released, the skin swells, the itch arises. From a psychosomatic perspective, a different question presents itself: why does your body react so intensely to something so tiny? And why is it precisely you who keeps getting stung — while others beside you remain untouched?

The mosquito bite is not an attack from outside, but a wake-up call from within.
