Swollen Lymph Nodes in the Armpit

Lymph nodes are the filtering stations of your immune system. When they swell, they are working — catching what doesn't belong in your body. Medically, a swelling in the armpit is often a sign that somewhere in the arm, the breast, or the upper body, an inflammation or infection is being fought.

From a psychosomatic perspective, the swelling in the armpit reveals something else: something internal is building up in a place that normally stays hidden. The armpit is the area you conceal — and that is precisely where something is now swelling. It is as if your body is saying: what you hold beneath the surface can no longer be filtered. It has become too much.
