Your Body Is Speaking

Your skin is pale, almost translucent. Your lymph nodes swell at the slightest occasion. Infections find you easily, and once they have found you, they stay longer than with others. You are tired, even though you have apparently done nothing. You feel cold where others are sweating. And something about your entire system seems as though it never quite got up to speed.

Lymphatism is not a single disease, but a fundamental constitution — a type that traditional medicine has known for centuries. People with a lymphatic constitution have soft tissue, a hesitant immune system, a slow metabolism. They often look younger than they are, more delicate, more vulnerable. Medicine sees this as a predisposition. The psychosomatic perspective asks further: What expresses itself in this predisposition? What does a body say that only half builds itself into the world?
