Your Body Is Speaking
The head is what we regard as the crown — the highest point, the seat of thinking, planning, control. When the head is injured, it does not merely shake bones and tissue. It shakes the centre of what you consider your control organ. The place from which you believe you have everything in hand.
Medically, a head trauma is a serious matter — concussion, skull fracture, cerebral hemorrhage. Treatment is acute and necessary. But when you come to rest after being cared for and ask yourself why it hit the head of all places — why precisely the command centre — then another level begins to speak.
A head trauma is not simply bad luck, but an impact that occurs precisely where you most strongly believe yourself to be located: in thinking, in willing, in determining.
