Your Body Is Speaking

A wound heals. The skin closes. Normally that is where the process ends — scar, done, move on. But with a keloid, something different happens: the tissue does not stop growing. It proliferates beyond the original injury, forming raised, often hardened ridges that become larger than the wound they were meant to heal. The tissue exceeds its own boundary.

Medically, a keloid is a disorder of wound healing — an excessive production of collagen in which the body repairs more than would be necessary. But if you look more closely, a pattern emerges that goes far beyond the skin: something within you is trying to heal, but cannot reach completion. Something grows — but not in the right direction. Something fills and fills, without ever having enough.

A keloid is not ordinary scar tissue. It is a body that cannot stop repairing — because it does not know when enough is enough.
