Cat Scratch Disease

A scratch. A tiny injury, barely worth mentioning. And yet your body reacts as though a serious threat has breached the defences. Medically, the bacterium Bartonella henselae is the trigger — transmitted through a cat's scratch, usually harmless, usually self-limiting.
