Your Body Is Speaking

Somewhere inside you, something has become hard that should be soft. A tendon that can no longer be stretched. A vessel losing its elasticity. A tissue that has stiffened at a place where movement used to be. The doctor calls it calcification — the deposit of calcium where it doesn't belong. And often it comes with a dull, pulling pain, a restriction, a feeling as though your body is no longer cooperating at that spot.

Calcium is the material of your bones. It is made to give structure, to support, to hold. In the bone, that is a blessing. In the wrong place — in an artery, a shoulder, a kidney, a tendon — the same substance becomes a problem. What was meant to hold now blocks. What was meant to support now stiffens. The body deposits hardness where flow is supposed to be.
