ISG Complaints (Sacroiliac Joint)

Deep in your pelvis, left or right between the sacrum and the ilium, sits a joint that almost no one knows about — until it hurts. The sacroiliac joint, or SIJ for short, is not a large, mobile connection like the knee or shoulder. It is a taut junction, almost invisible, almost immobile. And yet it is the nodal point at which the entire weight of your upper body is transferred to your pelvis. Every step, every time you stand up, every time you bend over passes through this joint. When it is blocked or inflamed, you feel it with every movement — a deep, pulling pain that radiates into the buttocks, sometimes into the leg, sometimes into the groin. Sitting becomes agony. Standing becomes agony. Even lying down brings no relief.
