Hip Shift

Also known as: pelvic tilt · hip misalignment · hip imbalance · crooked hip · hip displacement · dislocated hip
Your Body Is Speaking
Your hip is the joint that moves you forward. It connects your upper body to your legs — your will to your direction, your intentions to your steps. When the hip shifts, this connection falls out of alignment. Your gait becomes unsteady, movement painful, every step a reminder that something is not right.
From a medical standpoint a hip shift can have many causes — misalignments, overuse, muscular imbalances, structural changes. All of that deserves attention and treatment. And at the same time another question is worth asking: what does it mean when the joint that is meant to carry you in a direction slips out of its position?
The hip shift is not an accident of statics — it is the image of a person who has lost the ground beneath their own decisions.
