Your Body Is Speaking
You find them on the pillow, in the sink, between your fingers after showering. At first it's individual hairs — barely worth mentioning. Then there are more. At some point you see the scalp showing through, feel the gaps, notice that something is disappearing that you had taken for granted.
Medically there are many explanations: hormones, genetics, nutrient deficiencies, stress. And all of these factors play a role. But the psychosomatic perspective asks deeper: why does your body lose precisely what grows? What is happening in your life that puts so much pressure on your system that it withdraws energy from growth — as though growth were a luxury you cannot currently afford?
Hair stands for vitality, for expression, for what grows out of you when you allow it. When it falls out, more than keratin falls. A symbol falls — for what in your life gets no space.
