Benign Tumour

The doctors say: benign. That means this growth is not spreading aggressively, it is not destroying organs, it is not migrating into other parts of your body. It is there — quiet, contained, but unmistakable. And yet it arose. From you. In you. Through you.

Medicine can explain to you which cells are multiplying, what type of tumour is present, whether it needs to be observed, biopsied, or removed. What it cannot answer is the question that lies beyond the microscopic image: why has my body, at exactly this spot, at exactly this moment, started growing something it did not need before?
