Your Body Is Speaking

An ulcer is an open wound. The skin or mucous membrane — your outer or inner protective layer — has dissolved. Not from a blow, not from an external injury. But from within. Your tissue is breaking itself down, eating into its own substance, as if searching for something it cannot find there.

Medically, ulcers arise from an imbalance — too much aggressive acid, too little protective mucosa, disturbed circulation. The tissue is attacked without being able to regenerate sufficiently. From a psychosomatic perspective, a different question arises: What is gnawing at you so persistently that your body has begun to dissolve itself? What is consuming you — from within?

An ulcer is not silent damage. It is a hunger that satisfies itself in the wrong place.
