Your Body Is Speaking
The heel is the first part of your foot to touch the ground. With every step you land on it — it absorbs your entire body weight, soaks up the impact, gives you the stability from which you can push off and keep moving. When the heel hurts, every step becomes a conscious decision. You can no longer simply start walking. You can no longer pretend that everything is fine.
Medically there are many explanations — heel spur, plantar fasciitis, overuse, inflammation. But from a psychosomatic perspective a different question arises: what is no longer carrying you? What has become so fragile in your foundation that your body sends you a warning with every single step?
The heel is your anchor in the ground. When it hurts, your anchor has lost its hold.
