There are behavioural patterns so taboo that even the word erects a wall of shame and condemnation. Exhibitionism is one of them. Someone who exposes themselves to others without consent crosses a boundary — that must be clearly stated. The behaviour injures other people; it generates fear, disgust, and powerlessness in those who become unwilling witnesses. There is nothing to soften about that.
And at the same time, a question arises that lies behind the behaviour: What drives a person to show themselves in this way? What is so fundamentally missing that the body — or rather the entire system — reaches for an expression that destroys rather than connects?
