Vomiting and Nausea

Your Body Is Speaking

It comes from within. A wave that cannot be stopped. Your stomach contracts, your body doubles over, and everything you have taken in is forcibly expelled. Sometimes it stays at nausea — that queasy, spinning unease that places you in a state between enduring and giving up. Sometimes it comes to actual vomiting — violent, uncontrollable, as if your body were saying: this must not stay inside.

Medically, vomiting is a protective reflex. The body removes what harms it — spoiled food, poisons, things it cannot tolerate. That is sensible and life-saving. But what if no poison is involved? What if the nausea comes even though you have eaten nothing wrong — in moments of excitement, fear, overwhelm, or confrontation?

Then a deeper question arises: what in your life can you not keep inside yourself? What is your body trying to expel that is not sitting in the stomach — but in the soul?
