Epilepsy (Grand Mal)

It happens without warning. Sometimes a strange premonition — a flickering, a smell, a feeling that cannot be put into words — and then you lose control. Completely. Your body stiffens, your muscles jerk rhythmically, your consciousness switches off. For seconds or minutes you are simply not there. When you return, you don't know what happened. Only the exhaustion, the confusion, and sometimes the pain of a bitten tongue tell you: it has happened again.
