Your Body Is Speaking
Your skin is burning. It reddens, flakes, swells. The itching comes in waves — sometimes quiet, sometimes so intense that you scratch yourself raw, even though you know it makes everything worse. The skin that is supposed to protect you becomes an open construction site. What belongs on the outside — smoothness, intactness — breaks open.
Dermatology knows the triggers: stress, allergens, genetic disposition, an overreactive immune system. All of that is true. But it does not explain why you, specifically, are affected. Why now. Why there.
The psychosomatic perspective asks a different question: if the skin is the boundary between you and the world — what is happening at this boundary that requires so much inflammation? Eczema is not a coincidence, but an uprising that comes from within.
