Ovaries (General Complaints)

The ovaries are the quietest power plants in your body. They work in concealment — hormonally, cyclically, creatively. When they make themselves known, they rarely do so quietly: cysts, inflammation, pain, hormonal disruptions, cycle irregularities. Medically there is an explanation for each of these complaints — hormone levels, tissue changes, inflammatory markers.

But viewed psychosomatically, a deeper question arises: what is happening with the creative force in you that the organ embodying this force is going into protest? The ovaries are not only reproductive organs. They are the place where potential arises — in the literal and the figurative sense. When they hurt, it is rarely only about the body. It is about what wants to come into being inside you — and is not allowed to.
