Don Juanism

You conquer. Again and again. One after another. What looks from outside like charisma and passion feels different from within — more restless, more driven, emptier than anyone would ever suspect. After every conquest, what remains is not fulfilment but a brief moment of relief — followed by the same gnawing unease that was there before the last one. The hunger returns. Not for a particular person. For something you cannot name.

Medicine speaks of compulsive sexual behaviour, of attachment disorders, of narcissistic patterns. All of that may apply — on the surface. But the question that lies deeper is: What are you searching for in all these people that you cannot find in yourself?

Don Juanism is not strength. It is a cry for help in disguise.
