Calcinosis cutis

Calcium deposits are forming beneath your skin. Small, hard nodules that feel like foreign bodies — as if your body has decided to armour itself from the inside. Calcinosis cutis is rare, but those who have it feel it clearly: hardened areas that become visible, that can be painful, that sometimes press through the skin. Your body is depositing calcium where it does not belong — in soft tissue, in the skin, in what should be supple.
