Blood Complaints

You sit with your lab report in your hand and read values that are not right. The inflammation markers are elevated without anyone finding a clear cause. The red blood cells are behaving unusually. The differential blood count shows shifts that don't quite fit the picture. Perhaps you simply feel tired, depleted, no longer quite yourself — and the doctor says: "There's something in the blood, but we don't yet know exactly what."

Blood complaints in this sense are not a clear diagnosis, but an abnormality. Something inside you is no longer right — and the body reports it through the one substance that flows through every corner of your being. Every cell depends on this flowing. When the blood suffers, everything suffers.
