Bladder Prolapse

Your Body Is Speaking

Something in your pelvis is giving way. The pelvic floor — that muscular plate supporting your organs from below — is losing its tension, and the bladder sinks downward. You feel a pressure pulling downward, a sense of something foreign, perhaps uncontrolled loss of urine. Medically, a bladder prolapse is a pelvic floor weakness, often following childbirth, through connective tissue changes or hormonal shifts. All of that is real and deserves attention.

But there is a second level that is rarely considered. Your pelvic floor is your inner foundation — it carries what you carry. It holds what you hold. When this foundation gives way, it is worth asking: what has become so heavy in my life that my inner support is giving way? What is sinking — not just anatomically, but existentially?
