Your Body Is Speaking

You knock yourself. Against an edge, a door, a piece of furniture — and where the impact was, a swelling forms. Tissue wells up, fluid collects, the skin discolours. Medically, a bump is nothing more than a localised tissue reaction to blunt force — blood and lymph escape into the tissue, the body swells to protect and repair the affected area.

But when bumps accumulate, when you bump into things noticeably often, when you are constantly knocking into something — it is worth looking deeper. Because your body is reflecting on the outside what is happening inside: a collision. Not with a table leg — with yourself. Something inside you is building up, pressing outward, wanting to become visible. And because you do not let it, the energy finds its own way.

Bumps are backed-up pressure pushing toward the surface. They are the moment when what you are holding back can no longer remain invisible.
