Your Body Is Speaking

Your child has problems with its eyes. Perhaps they are red and inflamed, perhaps they tear constantly, perhaps the child sees blurrily or squints. The pediatrician examines the findings, prescribes drops or glasses, and in many cases this helps — on the physical level. But if you look more deeply, you may notice that your child's eye problems did not appear by chance. That they came during a specific phase. That they coincide with something weighing heavily on family life right now.

The eyes are the organ of seeing — and seeing is far more than an optical process. It means: perceiving reality. Forming a picture. Looking, even when it hurts. When a child develops eye problems, its body is showing something it cannot yet express in words: I do not want to see what I am seeing. Or: I cannot yet see who I really am.
