Eye Inflammation (General)

Your eyes are burning. They are red, swollen, perhaps tearing without end — as though they were weeping what you yourself can no longer weep. Eye inflammation is no accident. Your body speaks an unmistakable language here: something you are seeing — or something you refuse to see — is inflaming you on the inside.

Inflammation is always a sign that something in you is fighting. Your eyes are the organ with which you take in the world, sort it, evaluate it. When they become inflamed, your body is telling you: The way you are looking right now is hurting you. The gaze you are casting on your life is burning you from within.

You are looking somewhere — and you cannot stop looking there. You stare at one thing, one situation, one person, one memory, and your whole system is telling you: Stop. This is destroying you. But you don't listen.
