Your Body Is Speaking
The immune system is your inner guardian. It recognises what belongs to you and what does not. It protects you, defends you, keeps you alive. When HIV attacks this system and AIDS develops, precisely this authority fails: your body can no longer protect itself. It can no longer distinguish between friend and foe. It gives up.
Medically, HIV is a viral disease. From a psychosomatic perspective, an additional question arises: what is so fundamentally shaken in your inner system that your body gives up its protection? What have you believed about yourself that brings your immune system — your physical self-assertion — to a standstill?
AIDS is the signal of the deepest self-doubt: a person who questions their own worth, their right to life and love, so fundamentally that their body ceases its defence.
