Your Body Is Speaking
You stand at a threshold — perhaps the front door, perhaps the entrance to the supermarket, perhaps the platform — and your body sounds the alarm. Your heart gallops, your breath turns shallow, your legs go soft, the world tilts briefly. You know the feeling that no one understands unless they have lived it themselves: the air outside seems to contain less oxygen than the air inside. Crowds feel like a physical threat. Squares, wide spaces, open areas — they pull the ground from under your feet.
