Adenitis (Glandular Inflammation)
9 min read
Also known as: glandular inflammation · lymphadenitis · inflamed glands · swollen lymph nodes · glandular swelling · lymph node inflammation · inflamed lymph nodes · glandular abscess
Your Body Is Speaking
Your lymph nodes are swelling, becoming hot, tender to the touch. Perhaps at the neck, under the arms, in the groin — wherever the lymphatic system has posted its sentinels. Medically, adenitis is an inflammation of the lymph glands, often a response to infection. Your immune system ramps up, mobilises defences, sends signals that a battle is taking place somewhere in the body.
But viewed psychosomatically, a different question arises: why is your system in a state of constant battle? And who — or what — is this battle actually directed against? Against an external intruder, or against yourself?
Your signal is waiting
