Your Body Is Speaking

The Achilles tendon is the strongest tendon in your body — and at the same time the most vulnerable. It connects the calf muscles to the heel and allows you to push off, to jump, to move forward. Without it, you stand still. When it is inflamed, every step hurts. When it tears, your forward motion collapses.

Greek mythology knew it: Achilles was invincible — except at this one point. And that is precisely what your body is showing you when the Achilles tendon hurts: you are strong. You are functioning. You carry a great deal. But there is a point in you where all that strength avails you nothing — because the foundation is missing: not the outer foundation, but the inner one, the knowledge of who you are when you are achieving nothing, carrying nothing, proving nothing to anyone.

Achilles tendon problems are the signal of a person who is strong — but not grounded in themselves.
